Jon Beer

Jon Beer is a painter and sculptor who lives and works in the Cornwall area. In addition to his identity as an artist, he has built a successful residential building company and works as a carpenter and business owner, managing a small team.

The most significant influence on his work over the past 19 months has been becoming a father. His son, Miles, has been a gift, and fatherhood has infused his practice with ideas about time, mortality, role models, and an ongoing investigation into the world he shares with and builds for him.
