Corinne Beardsley

Corinne Beardsley connects embodied memories to nature through material gestures in sculpture, environmental installations, and performance. Abstract figurative clay sculptures can be suspended in a moment of transformation, or a record of touch; reflecting on the uncertain trajectory of humankind. Corinne is from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and received a MFA from the New York Academy of Art and a BFA from Hartford Art School. Select solo and group exhibitions include Dorsky Museum(NY), Silver Art Projects(NYC), Holland Tunnel Revisited(NY), Practice Gallery(PA), ADS Gallery(NY), Mother in Law's(NY), Field Projects(NYC), Sargent Daughters/Shrine(NYC), Real Art Ways(CT), M16 Artspace(AU), Sawtooth Gallery(AU), and Salisbury University Gallery(MD). She has been awarded fellowships and residencies including at the Vermont Studio Center, Byrdcliffe Woodstock Guild(NY), Red Lodge Clay Center(MT), Babayan Culture House(Turkey), Central Academy of Fine Art(China), University of Tasmania(AU) and Poh Chang University(Thailand). Corinne has taught sculpture courses at Salisbury University, UMES, NYAA, and Pratt University, and continues teaching workshops in community ceramic studios.  Currently she co-organizes Gold Star Fridge Gallery, and lives in Hudson Valley.
