Light, color and a love of nature are the driving forces behind her work. Janet’s work reflects a relationship between the world around her and the painted image. She strives to create a visual representation of what she experiences through her senses. Janet received a BFA in painting at Pratt Institute. Currently she paints events on weekends and is an advisory board member of the Orange County Arts Council. Janet facilitates the Warwick Life Drawing Group at the Sugarloaf Perfomring Arts Center. She lives in the Hudson Valley – Warwick, NY, surrounded by the beauty of a rural landscape that includes farms, mountains and state parks. Due to limited funding and high demand. Funding is currently capped at $200/per person but can cover travel and hotel expenses, helping to remove financial barriers and encourage broader participation from across New York State.
