She has written more than 45 jazz and chamber works that have been performed and recorded across the U.S. and Europe. A lifelong painter, Silvano now exhibits her watercolor, pastel, oil, and encaustic pieces in solo and group shows along the Eastern Seaboard. The working artists who have made this former industrial city their creative home remain tucked away in converted factory buildings and studio spaces throughout the city. But for one weekend each fall, that changes entirely. Terrain settles artistic pieces onto private property. The city itself becomes a canvas for artists. An art gallery has hours of operation; this biennial is open 24 hours.
