Creative Impact 2025

A highlight of the evening was the keynote address by Eve Moros Ortega, Senior Director at Lord Cultural Resources and a recognized expert in cultural planning and community engagement. Drawing on her extensive experience in arts advocacy and strategic initiatives, Ortega spoke about the role of art as a fundamental human right and a powerful catalyst for community transformation.

“My work connects arts and culture to community needs and is grounded in the conviction that art is an essential right for everyone,” Ortega shared. “The power of creativity to educate, empower, and create sustainable change is why gatherings like these matter.”

The event created space for meaningful dialogue around the role of art and culture in Orange County’s continued development, encouraging cross-sector partnerships and highlighting how investment in the arts can drive innovation, economic growth, and the amplification of diverse voices throughout the region.

The Orange County NY Arts Council successfully hosted its Creative Impact Mixer, an art-filled evening dedicated to fostering connections and collaboration across the arts, business, and community sectors. Held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Storm King Art Center, the event welcomed attendees from across the region for an engaging and inspiring experience.

The mixer brought together artists, business leaders, and community change-makers to explore how the arts contribute to the cultural richness and economic resilience of Orange County. Guests enjoyed live music from Kenyatta Emmanuel and John Gioia & Co., participated in an interactive community art build led by Nicole Hixon, and sampled locally sourced refreshments—all set against the stunning backdrop of the art center’s landscape.
