Jenny Torino
Jenny Torino is an interdisciplinary artist who uses natural fibers such as felting wool, textiles, and paper to create sculptures and interactive spaces. Her work explores the connection between artist, material, and ecosystem. Through the lengthy process of felting wool, she focuses on body movement and tactility, with repetitive motion during the making process becoming a form of meditation.
Recently, she has presented work at Upstate Art Weekend 2025, Wickham Works Art Festivals, Gardiner Library, and AOOA Farm, where she was also a 2024 Artist in Residence. Her work was highlighted in March 2025 in Becca Tucker’s article “Zen and the Art of Felting a Sunflower” in Dirt Magazine. She teaches fiber art throughout the Hudson Valley at venues including That Creative Space (Beacon), Hudson Valley Atelier (Florida), and through Wickham Works (Warwick).
